Very interesting article, i will be testing soon.
Basically, there are commands you may not know about that half life defaults to that fuck your game up. One is ex_interp. It is set by default to .1 and it should be .01. However, if you have it at .01 your cl_cmdrate and updaterate should be at 100. Your rate should be upped to 20000.
To make more sense of it, read this thouroughly, but it strongly depends on how fast your comp is as well.

EDIT: as fast as my comp is and the ping i get, .01 still makes other people's models chop but that is because they are lagging, not me. I put it at .03 for interp and that seems to work well.

Aren't one of those commands suppose to lower you're ping so you dont lag alot?

no if u have very good latency, and if u put ur interp at 0.01...... it makes ur registration to every shot made by one gun very fast... in other words.... good ping+ex_interp 0.01=insane registry... but its not ilegal i think

that looks like something a high number in ex_interp does...which gays the game.
Is that what you use kikko? Those settings? I had to change interp from .01 to .03 cuz while i dont lag it all, it shows everyone else chopping on the screen, it shows their "true" ping.
